Ham & Beans


1 pound dried great northern beans
1 pound ham hocks
1 medium onion, chopped
salt & pepper


1. Cover beans with boiling water and soak 4-5 hours in a heavy bowl that is covered.

2. Drain beans, and place in pressure cooker with ham & onion. Add enough water to cover.

3. Pressure 30 minutes, and allow pressure to drop of its own accord.

4. Break ham into chunks and discard bones. Stir ham into the beans.

5. Salt & pepper to taste.
