Jerome "Muscles" J. Albers, 66, of Germantown died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese on Sunday, May 25th, 1997.
A son of Virgil and Emilia K. Winter Albers, he was born in Germantown on June 3rd, 1930. On May 17th, 1955, in Germantown, he married Emilia "Emmy" Robke, and she survives.
In addition to his widow, survivors include two daughters, 'Mrs. Sue Richter and Theresa Albers, both of Germantown; two sons, Tony and Philip Albers, also of Germantown; four grandchildren; three brothers, Cy Albers of Washington, Mo. and Leon and Don Albers; both of Germantown; Two brothers, James and David Albers, preceded him in death.
Mr. Albers was an operating engineer for Keeley Brothers Construction Company and member of Operating Engineers Local 520 of East St. Louis. He was a member of St. Boniface Church in Germantown, men's sodality of the church, and Breese Knights of Columbus. He was a retired member of the Germantown Fire Department and a past president of the Germantown Community Development Club.
Father Vincent Haselhorst officiated at services held today (Wednesday) at St. Boniface Church at 11 a.m., with burial following in the church cemetery.
The Moss Funeral Home in Germantown was in charge of arrangements.

I talked to him briefly on the phone on 10/02/08. He's a very old man. He didn't have much information for me.
